Day 1: Arrive at Periyar National Park and Boat Safari.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, one of the highlights of Periyar. The boat journey offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills and forest edges. Wildlife sightings such as elephants, deer, and various bird species are commonly observed near the water.

By evening, you may visit nearby spice plantations. This is a good opportunity to learn about Kerala’s famous spices like cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon, and understand how they are cultivated.

Day 2: Morning Wildlife Safari in the Periyar Park

Start the day early with a morning Periyar safari experience inside the national park. Depending on availability and preference, you may choose a boat safari or guided jungle exploration. Return to your accommodation for breakfast after the morning activity. Later in the day, visit nearby tribal settlements to gain insight into the traditional lifestyle and culture of local communities living around the forest.

After completing the visit, check out from the hotel and proceed towards your onward journey.
